Abstract

The present article deals with the profession of the designer, making a mention with the men in the period of the chipped stone when producing his instruments of personal use and survival as the first designers of the history of humanity. Then we will show the role of this professional in the Industrial Revolution in the production of materials that pass through a valorization of the use, from the entry of this professional in the industry. In addition, this article brings elements that deal with the practice of the designer associated with art, as well as the exercise of this professional in dialogue with culture, as well as demonstrate how the designer of a product can cause emotion in humans. In this way, the final product of the carnival is exemplified as a model of design that reminds us of an emotional memory when it comes to dresses, sculptures, and the architecture of the floats.
