Abstract

Hannah Arendt's critique of human rights has as its background the problematization of the nation-state decline and the end of human rights. The emergence of minorities, as a result of the two great wars political obstacles and the continuous state of instability, resulted in the emergence of stateless persons. Hoping to preserve their lives, these groups - far from their homelands - have lost the right to have rights. Far from being destructive, Hannah Arendt's critique of human rights is a process of reconstruction based on the respect and the preservation of the dignity of all human beings.
