Fantastic Illustrations, creative thinking manners in the fantasy art

Abstract

The following article proposes an investigation about the thought and development of the creative process behind the work of renowned artists at the fantasy illustration area: their concepts, search for inspiration, narrative and other ways that defines the “talent” of the artist. It is based on scientific articles about the fantasy gender and its exhibition platforms (Card Games, animations, concept art), selects a few works of artists which produces fantasy art, analysis semi-structured interviews with nine content creators about their production process, looking for manners covered for the thought of these authors, from the beginning idea, till the final product. Identifying common points among the processes of the analyzed artists for elaborating a proposal of creation for fantastic illustrations.
