This article presents the thought of German philosopher Peter Sloterdijk. Reputed as one of the most prestigious and controversial contemporary philosophers, from his early work Sloterdijk expresses interest in the conflicts of bourgeois subjectivity, psychoanalysis, the presence of the body, literature and music. The three volumes of Spheres (Bubbles, Globes, Foams) constitute a general poetics of space and involve the construction of a “mega-discourse” of a new type, which synthesizes and critically continues the most important lines of modern thought.
