Abstract

This study aimed to highlight the importance of Twitter for the current scenario of Brazilian marketing. Jenkins' (2009) concept of media convergence was used to explain the evolution of communication in recent years and associated with Kotler's (2017) view of marketing trends to present the profile of the new consumer and how he or she is reached by issues socially governed by today's society. The study presented ways for brands to use this feature to conquer the new consumer, addressing the profile of this customer and examples of companies that have conquered the public's preference.
