Investigating of reading at fundamental teaching II

Abstract

Considering an outdated school methodology, in which reading is performed mechanically, aiming at evaluations and
interpretations, usually pre-established by the teacher, which becomes a practice seen negatively by young people and,
taking into account the current technological explosion, which is a way of leisure, especially for children and young people,
that allows easy access to high-value reading materials, available online, for downloading or reading online, it has become a
challenge to practice and reading, which is fundamental to the development of reasoning, criticism and the ability of
interpretation.
