Abstract

The 1920s and werw one of political, ideological and socialturmoil in Brazil. Liberalism in crisis, the scenario of corruption represent by the oligarchies, moved ideologues in with the right or the left, to a lessr degree, coming out in defense of a stateless society. From this perspective, figures from the right and left showed their postures for the Brasil of the future. Gustavo Barroso was one of the significant figures of that time, a member of the AIB, a writer, and well connected, both in the field of letters and politics. A representative of the conservative sectors, Barroso was the only integralista who went hunting for the jew, oozing hatred, making a racial appeal, even defending the elimination of the jew. A cattholic, representative of conservative sectors, Barroso will be the only integralista to defend the elimination of the figura of the jew, resorting to racista authors, who founded nazism. Writing 11 books aimed directly at the jew, Barroso holds him responsible for the problems of the word, for being a figure without love for the country, who only cares about making a profit, who does not mix, and the most serious thing, murdered Jesus Christ. In tune with some sectors of the right, the Brazil desired by Barroso was that of a christian social democracy, in which the jew did not participate.
