Abstract:
In this article, we will develop a discussion of the medicalization of education
and its impact on education, particularly regarding the idea of the body that
emerges through this process. If Lacan highlighted in his seminar entitled "...or
worse" that, faced with the truth of the impossibility of sexual relations, there are
a thousand possible responses, all of them of the order of invention, since none
correspond to the hole in reality, it is possible to believe that among these
responses there are those that lead to the worst. After considering the infernal
body, seeking to discipline it through the cultivation of the spirit, pedagogy now
sees the return of this body through medicine. Wouldn't introducing the dead
body into pedagogy, from which medicine originated in its scientific origins, not
inhabited by a sexual subject, lead education to the worst
