Abstract

The purpose of this work is to present a study on fantasy in the story "Las Cosas" from the book What do I want, love? by Spanish writer Manuel Rivas. This work will be addressed in two segments: in the first part we will analyze fantasy related to Todorov's theory, supporting the marvelous, the extraño and the fantastic. In the second part, we will observe the fantasy within Rivas' story, analyzing the personified objects, the darkness and how each one imagines what the murder was like.
