Abstract

The importance of Environmental Education (EA) in the preservation, protection and recovery of the environment, in all its forms, is indisputable. This study aims to research the EA Training offered to students of Degree Courses in Public and Private HEIs in the state of RJ. To this end, the curricula of 76 degree courses from 12 HEIs (06 public and 06 private) were analyzed. It is visible that formal EE, implemented in the form of transversal contents in basic and optional education, as a subject, in higher education, finds it difficult to be implemented. Unless further analyzed, one of the main weak points of the process is the training of Teachers in their basic training.
