Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as a strategy for inclusion in early childhood education

Abstract

Thinking about inclusion is necessary and is something that is gaining ground today. In this sense, the purpose of this article is to consider and investigate the use of the science of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) as a strategy for the inclusion of children with autism in the context of early childhood education
in Brazil. Initially, I mentioned concepts of ABA and its interrelationship with education, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and inclusion. In this way, an integrative review was carried out with the aim of mapping national scientific productions dealing with the topic in question, specifically between the years 2012 and 2024. The following terms were used in the databases used and defined previously: ABA, School inclusion, Early childhood education and Autism, which were combined with “AND” in order to achieve what was proposed. Finally, the scarcity of scientific productions that interrelate ABA, inclusion and early childhood education in the previously defined databases became evident, which indicates an interesting field for the development of relevant future research.
