Por que Resistências Africanas? Por que histórias de vida?

Abstract

Inspired by our research with the peripheries, in Rio de Janeiro, since 1990 – particularly those since 2003, with the Mangueira favela known as the Mangueira community, we problematize the title of this text. We seek other enunciation agencements, of a becoming world in which Africa plays an indispensable role. The orally narrated life stories in common, a research device demanded by Mangueira, affirms the importance of his history with ancestry, orality, community and ways of living, cradling dreams of freedom in the face of capital, this unnameable. Desires in revolt against the colonization of the unconscious affirm the decolonization of subjectivities.
