Deriva parada: uma experiência de perder-se n(a) cidade

Abstract

This work shares an experience of “Deriva Parada”, terms that are contradictory in themselves and that gained meaning together in this practice, carried out over two years on a wall in Rua dos Andradas – Rua da Praia, in downtown Porto Alegre, which I discussed and deepened  into my doctoral thesis. Mobilizing involuntary memory, taking into account free associations and in narrative flow, we bet on the categories of any, the impersonal and the neutral as a way of possible relations between the singular and the collective, an edge that tensions conceptions of space, territory, city, subjectivity and, above all , urban experience.
