The Schreber Case: between Schizophrenia and Paranoia

Abstract

The present paper emerges as an advance of the research entitled Differential Clinic of Paranoia and Schizophrenia in Psychoanalytic Theory, its Effects on the Direction of the Treatment and its Stabilization Possibilities, which is developed in the context of the research group Psychoanalysis, Subject and Society of the Department of Psychoanalysis at the University of Antioquia. The objective of this paper is to put in question Freud’s elaborations on the diagnosis in the Schreber case, because in psychoanalysis there are multiple interpretations about it, and the differential clinic of schizophrenia and paranoia.
