On the way to Walachei: adolescence on the road in Tschick

Abstract

In this work, we propose to reflect on the fall of parental authority and the generational
conflict in adolescence through the novel Tschick . Initially, we will present our method
of approaching the selected clippings a nd information about the work. Next, we will
discuss the meeting of Maik, the narrator and protagonist, with Tschick, his new
immigrant schoolmate, with whom he travels to Walachei. At the end, we will discuss
the fall of parental authority and the generational conflict, characteris tic aspect s of
adolescence, based on the narrative of the main character of the literary work.
